Movers Dulwich Modern Slavery Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement is made by Movers Dulwich in recognition of our responsibilities under relevant modern slavery and human trafficking legislation. It sets out the steps we are taking to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our own operations and throughout our supply chains. This statement applies to all employees, workers, contractors, and suppliers engaged by Movers Dulwich.
Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy
Movers Dulwich has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking in all its forms. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in every aspect of our business. We expect the same high standards from everyone we work with, including suppliers, subcontractors, and other business partners.
Any form of forced labour, bonded labour, servitude, child labour that is illegal or exploitative, or human trafficking is strictly prohibited within our operations and supply chain. We will take immediate and decisive action where any breach or suspected breach of this policy is identified, which may include terminating commercial relationships and reporting concerns to relevant authorities.
Our Business and Supply Chain
Movers Dulwich operates within the removals and logistics sector, providing moving and related services to residential and commercial customers. Our supply chain includes providers of vehicles, equipment, fuel, packaging materials, storage facilities, maintenance services, and labour-related services.
We recognise that some elements of the logistics and wider labour market can present higher risks of exploitation. We therefore seek to understand and manage those risks through robust controls, regular reviews, and clear expectations communicated to our suppliers and partners.
Supplier Standards and Audits
We aim to work only with suppliers and subcontractors who share our commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking. As part of our supplier due diligence processes, we assess prospective and existing suppliers against our ethical and compliance expectations.
Movers Dulwich conducts periodic reviews and, where appropriate, on-site audits of higher-risk suppliers. These audits may include reviewing labour practices, right-to-work documentation, working conditions, and evidence of compliance with applicable employment and health and safety laws. If we identify non-compliance or areas of concern, we will work with the supplier on corrective action plans or, where issues are serious or not remedied, we may suspend or terminate the relationship.
Training, Awareness, and Responsibilities
Managers and staff involved in procurement, supplier management, and workforce engagement are informed about the risks and indicators of modern slavery. We encourage all colleagues to remain vigilant and to raise any concerns they may have about the treatment of workers within our operations or supply chains.
Responsibility for implementing this statement and monitoring compliance rests with the senior management team of Movers Dulwich. They are accountable for ensuring that appropriate systems, checks, and controls are in place and are regularly reviewed.
Reporting Concerns and Whistleblowing Channels
Movers Dulwich encourages anyone with concerns about modern slavery or human trafficking connected to our business to report them as soon as possible. Concerns can be raised internally through line managers or a designated senior manager. All reports will be taken seriously, handled sensitively, and investigated promptly.
We are committed to protecting individuals who raise concerns in good faith. Retaliation, victimisation, or disadvantage against any person reporting a genuine concern is not tolerated and will be treated as a disciplinary matter.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
We recognise that the risks of modern slavery are dynamic and may change over time. Movers Dulwich is committed to continuous improvement in its approach to identifying and addressing these risks. We will review our policies, procedures, and controls on a regular basis to ensure they remain effective, proportionate, and aligned with best practice.
This Modern Slavery Statement will be reviewed at least once every year by the senior management team, or more frequently if required by changes in law, guidance, or our business operations. Any updates or revisions will reflect our ongoing efforts to strengthen our prevention, detection, and response to modern slavery and human trafficking risks.
This statement has been approved by the leadership of Movers Dulwich and represents our firm commitment to conducting business responsibly, ethically, and in full respect of human rights.
